good times...

Despite the fact that we've had a couple of sick kids, we have had a wonderful Christmas week. We enjoyed fun times with the kids, good food, fun, and fellowship with friends, and some quiet days just being at home (plus a trip to the doctor's office:). I will take more time another day to post more on all of that, but here a couple of shots from Christmas 2007:

Before we open gifts, our tradition is to read from the Bible about God's gift to us...

Another tradition...after reading the Christmas story and before opening the gifts, we have to get a picture in front of the tree.

I did pictures of the couples at our Sunday School class Christmas party...thanks to April for shooting this one of Ringo and me!

Thanks for stopping by...

finally...

I don't believe I have ever gone this long without a post, just know...it's busy around here. Today we have the last of the Christmas parties and then the kids get out of school at lunchtime!!! Yahooooo!!! Here at Pepin Central, we are looking forward to the relaxation of Christmas break! If I could just get my Christmas cards in the mail, I would feel better! If you don't get yours before Christmas...happy new year!!! I really am not stressing over all of it too much...I WILL eventually get it all done. :)

Braden has gotten a lot of exposure (NPI!) lately, so here are a few pictures of the other two. These were taken at our fall portrait session, which was also Braden's birthday session and our Christmas pictures. Can you say multi-task??? ;o)

You cannot imagine how long we worked on getting a "serious face" out of him...

From the Pepin family, we hope you all have a blessed Christmas...enjoy your time together celebrating the birth of our Savior! Merry Christmas to all our blogger friends and family!!!

M-I-A...

I just had to stop everything else I have going on and update my blog. There is so much going on, but no time to post! First of all, I want to thank you to so many of you who have been praying for our family since my dad had a heart attack on Tuesday. It means so much to have Christian friends who are praying right along with you when you are going through trials. At the time I am writing this, my dad has been out of surgery long enough that the whole family is in visiting with him. Well, they aren't visiting with him...I guess they are just looking at him and talking about him, since he is not awake yet. :o) The doctors say he will be conscious, but mostly sleeping until Saturday or Sunday. Praise the Lord, praise the Lord that he was where he was when this all happened. They believe he would not have lived had he not had the help of a doctor who was with him from the moment it happened. Please continue to pray for him as he recovers...if all goes well and he heals quickly, he will go home from the hospital around Tuesday of next week. I would imagine it will take a while for him to completely recover. He did not realize he had this problem before the heart attack, but I pray that he will be stronger and healthier now with a fully-functioning heart. :)

I mentioned in my last post about Braden doing a historical presentation on the life of William Penn. I am SO relieved that it is over! He did such a great job! It was really fun to get to hear the kids who did theirs today...they all did a fantastic job. These are third graders and this was a serious project...I am so proud of all of them for putting so much effort into it. All the costumes were great too. Everyone really got into it. :) I love Braden's costume. After school we went to Target with him wearing the entire outfit, even the hat, and we got lots of stares. It was kind of funny. Anyway, did I say I'm glad it's over?? =o)

L-R: Abraham Lincoln (Curtis), Pocahontas (Ginnie), Booker T. Washington (Tyler), Clara Barton (Bradlynn), George Washington (Joshua), another Pocahontas (Ashlee), Billy Sunday (Pierson), William Penn (Braden), and Laura Ingalls Wilder (Abby). Are they adorable or what? (click on the picture for a larger view)

Life is so busy right now...I look forward to it slowing down...sometime. I've been doing lots of family portraits, and I've debated about posting them here...not sure. I've got two big ones next week...one with a family of eight and the other...26! Not kidding! Please help us pray for good weather because they are all coming from out of town (some of them from VERY far away) for a family reunion...so we only have one shot at this. I did my first newborn session this week, and I really enjoyed it. Newborns are pretty cooperative. You can view the pics, but you'll have to do some blog-hopping to find them. :)

Okay, I feel like I've gotten everything off my chest for now. I hope to be back soon. Thank you again for praying and please continue to do so! It means so much!
