what we've been up to...

This month marks two years of blogging for me, but I guess you could say I have the blogger blues. Just seems like no one else ever updates their blogs, so I just don't get on here that much anymore. Maybe it's because my life has been taken over by facebook and it's easier to keep up with people there, at least on a more personal basis.

Anyhoo, here we are with an update for the month of October. :) Ringo's training will be finished on Friday...praise the Lord!!! I know he will be glad, but I will be REALLY glad! Pray for him this week...he has tests on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. =S

Ringo got a break from studying last weekend, and we got some tickets to the "free circus" which means NOT the Ringling & Bros. or Barnum & Bailey, or whoever they are...but the other circus, the free circus. :D Looking back a week later, I'm glad we went because the kids will always remember it...at least until they get to go to a good circus, and then that memory will take over in their minds for the rest of their lives! Really though, they did get to eat cotton candy and see some things they'd never seen before, so it was a fun adventure for them.

Here are a few pictures of the kids at the circus...but something happened to me that has NEVER happened before. My camera battery ran out, and I had left the backup in the van cause it showed that the battery was fine. The battery died before the show even started! Oh well...

Here are some pics we took at the playground last weekend:

Bella braving the jungle gym...

Some dramatics for the camera...

She has just recently mastered the monkey bars...

Some b-ball with Daddy...

Evan wanted his picture taken upside down too...

He was just singing his little lungs out, motions and everything... :D

All Braden wants to do anymore is play football or watch football or talk about football. It's enough to drive me (not interested in football!) crazy. He loves every opportunity he gets to play catch with Daddy. :o)

And finally here are some pics of the kids dressed up for the mission banquet last night...

Love the pics of Evan singing and his indian costume!

Bella looks so pretty!

Tell Evan to bring my gum--my piece from last night is old now=)

Jennie: We will definitely come prepared with gum! :D

Alarra: Actually a friend of mine found it at a thrift store. I wasn't even going to dress my kids up, but she told me about it two days before the banquet. Evan had the Indian costume from last year...thankfully it still fit. And Bella's costume was borrowed from a friend since she had outgrown her Spanish outfit from last year. :) So I ended up spending $5.99 for Braden's costume and that was it!

Dead batteries are a bummer. :) I love them all dressed up, they are so precious. Braden is starting to look so grown up.

Okay, you have got to get over those "blogging blues"! I love reading your blog. I agree that Facebook is much quicker and convenient but it is like comparing reading a headline to a good novel. Blogs make much better reading!:)
Your kids are so precious! I would love to get with you this fall for pictures (I would enjoy seeing you too!:)). Maybe we can plan something like that.
I am glad Ringo is finished and I know that you are ready to have him back with you.
Have a great week!
Love you!!

Now, look at that...six comments and mine makes seven and you think no one is interested in blogging! Alicia is so right--Facebook IS like just reading the headlines--there's no real meat there. And Joy is right about Braden. I can't believe how grown up he's starting to look. He's got that "adolescent" look in his eyes. Better get prepared for that! Bella looks just like A'Larra! Do you see it? Oh my goodness! And honestly, I think Braden looks a lot like Aaron which is weird since he looks so much like his dad. There must be those hidden genes that come out! Great to finally read a post from you. Hey, what's up with your posts being halfway down the page anyway? It kind of freaked me out at first.

What do you mean about the post being halfway down the page? Doesn't look that way here. There seems to be something wrong with it?

Yes, I agree that there is much more meat to a blog, which is what I also like about it...but I only know a few people who update on a regular basis anymore, so it's just kind of disappointing to go blogging and not find anything new, so I just don't go blogging that often anymore. Of course now I'm disappointing people who are looking for something new too. :) I'll TRY to do better.

Yes, Braden is really growing up. Even to me he seems older than nine. Yeah, I dread the adolescent age...ughhh! Seriously, I'm so glad you noticed that about Bella. I had that picture blown up on my screen and I could only see from her nose down. I told Alarra it was just like looking at her...look at her mouth!!! It's like an exact replica! Of course I had to go and inherit "no-lips" from Grandma. Anyway, the likeness is very overwhelming with Bella in that makeup!

Okay, I really do feel more like I've visited with you now that I've "said" all that. Much better...if everyone else would just keep their blogs updated! :D

Well, the last two times you have posted, the post doesn't start (on my screen, at least) until you scroll down past all the links right under the little map. Everything to the right of the links is just blank space. Is anyone else seeing that or is it just me--as usual?
