outdoor fun...

Oops...I meant to post this about Thursday of last week, but time apparently just gets away from me. I've got more stuff to post from spring break and Easter too, so I'm seriously getting behind. These pictures were taken of the kids playing outside during spring break. Didn't get any of Braden...he was busy playing basketball.

I have to point out that Bella dressed herself in this quite charming
outfit...if we ever have clash day at school, she's a winner!

Jumping jacks...

From my vantage point sitting on the curb...

I've got more to come from a fun day at Sprout Studio...I HOPE to get to that later this week. Lots of people have asked about my eyesight...so here's the short version. I broke my glasses three weeks ago, and couldn't find frames I like so I decided to get contacts. Apparently I have the oddest shaped corneas in the history of the world, and I am supposed to be seeing a doctor this week who can make a map of my eye to see if I will even be able to wear contacts. So until then, if I walk past you without speaking, it's not because I'm a snob...or if you wonder why I'm looking at you, I'm probably not. ;o)

Have a good week...

happy birthday to ringo...

Well, spring break is over and now we are settling back into our routine for the next six weeks. Only six weeks until Bella graduates from kindergarten! It all just goes by SO fast! We are looking forward to some fun times...Grandma is coming to visit in a couple of weeks. Then comes the marathon week of Bible conference. About the time we recover from that, it will be graduation time around here. :)

Yesterday, we had a double-whammy...Ringo's birthday fell on Easter this year. Or I should say Easter fell on Ringo's birthday. I am guessing that has never happened in his 41 years of life...since according to that email forward floating around out there (I'm sure you've all seen it), Easter has not occurred this early since 1918 or something like that. If you want to see some pictures of Ringo growing up, you can view the post I published last year on his birthday...it's in the archives to the left. I'm not going to post those again, but I actually got Ringo to pose for a picture. You can imagine how thrilled he was to do it. HA! Hey, everyone else in the family gets a birthday session! :) Oh, and he insists that he is smiling. This one was my favorite..isn't he handsome? Happy Birthday, Sweetie!!!

I have lots more to post from spring break and Easter, but I'll save some for later this week. I can't promise the pictures won't be blurry; I STILL can't see! Long story. Maybe in another post. :) See you in a few days!

school pics...

These were taken back when school first started in the fall, but since I have yet to post them...here they are. Excuse the scratchy look...my scanner does that.

Braden...3rd grade

Bella...Kindergarten

The kids are out of school this week for spring break!!! Yeahhhhh! A whole week of not setting the alarm before I go to bed. Good feeling! We had a big trip planned to visit my family, but since we have been blessed with a REALLY big vacation this summer, we decided to save the money and stay home. So we don't have any big plans this week, but we will do some fun stuff. I might even take some pictures. That might be difficult though, since I broke my glasses and I can't SEE! That's another story...I am awaiting a trial pair of contacts. So if you see me out driving, you might want to steer clear. :) Seriously.

I pray you all have a great week enjoying the spring weather! :)

fun stuff...

I have not had a turn being sick yet, but Ringo did endure having the flu this week. Evan also has still been fighting something. Hopefully we will all get to go to church on Sunday. :)

Braden has been playing basketball in the elementary intramurals, for the third through fifth graders at school. This was his first year, and he is very excited to get involved in sports. Braden is not really into basketball that much, though he has become more interested and has been practicing here at home since the season started. He had a lot of fun, and his team won the championship game on Wednesday! I'm including a few pictures...

So cute when they line up...there is a prayer and the National Anthem! :)

Getting instruction on free-throws...

Yes, he actually got to touch the ball a few times. He scored two goals
(the entire season). :)

And here is a crazy one of the kids playing with the computer cam... :)
